Why you MUST have a Mailing List on your Website

 |  by Max  |  AWeber, Blogging  |

I currently have thousands of names and emails saved on numerous mailing lists for my businesses using a web application called AWeber. Mailing lists are an essential tool to collect potential customer information so that you can re-engage with a person at a later date, this helps boosts sales of your product and boosts traffic to your website or blog. What’s even better is that AWeber can be integrated with Facebook, which means you can use Fan Pages to capture more potential subscribers.

If someone visits your site and they do not subscribe, whether it be via Maling List, RSS or Twitter, the odds are they will unlikely visit your blog or website regularly again because they won’t be notified of your updates. RSS feeds and Twitter are a common way of engaging visitors with your blog updates however, a mailing list allows you to send your visitors pre-created automated emails, using attractive branded email templates. The emails could contain promotions, advice, tutorials and recommendations that re-engage your first time visitor with new valuable content to refresh them with your company, brand and most importantly your products. Familiarising a first time visitor with your brand is very important because statistics show people statistically are far more likely to buy and trust a website after several visits.

I use AWeber to collect visitor information using an embedded ’subscribe’ form or via a pop-up lightboxes on my websites. Once a visitor has subscribed and opted in via email, they will receive automated follow-up emails every week about content that’s interesting, relevant to bring them back to the website. AWeber provides the perfect tools to create web forms to pre-create personalised follow up emails using hundreds of templates. When you sign up for a trial month, its step-by-step setup guide and new web form creator means it’s easy to get started and a must for anyone with or without much web experience.

After you start the trial, feel free give me your feedback or ask for any advice.
