Thanks for taking the time to check out my story, it’s a small page that summarises my journey from how I first started out on the internet, progressed into Social Media and then found my passion for making money online.

Lets go back to 2001 when I was 15, my friend Geoff linked me to MSN messenger for the first time and I sent my first instant message, I still remember the conversation to this day; it was short, abbreviated, emotional. I was addicted. Later that year I joined MySpace, FacePic and LiveJournal and got my first girlfriend, she lived in Canada.
In 2002, I got hooked on Pokemon cards. I negotiated, swapped and took great care of my cards, selling my foil editions on eBay where I received my first American check in the mail for 23 dollars instead of 23 pounds – I didn’t care, it was amazing.

A year later I got into HTML code, Adobe Photoshop, FlashMX and started designing my friends ‘FloAtyHead’ animated avatars for their MySpace profiles. They created a small buzz around ‘the spazz’ via my secret viral HTML code back-linking embeds. They became an instant hit to my 4000 ‘friends’, I didn’t charge for them at the time but I felt like I was worth millions and that’s all that mattered. No one wanted to buy a ‘FloAtyHead’ for £5 or even donate towards the novelty avatar via a simple Paypal button that took me around 8 hours to code but I didn’t mind, I felt great. After a few months I couldn’t cope making all the free FloAtyHead’s so I stopped to concentrate on other important things like Nintendo. It wasn’t long after this when I received a monthly MySpace Newsletter, I would usually ignore these in my inbox but for some reason I scanned down the email until I got the bottom where the newsletter had been signed off by Tom with his own little head floating beside him. First of all I thought someone had just had the same idea as me but as I rolled over the graphic my heart stopped for a second as it read: ‘Me as a FloAtyHead’.
In my second year at university, I thought it would be wise to buy some MySpace T-Shirts and sell them over the social network and on my new website, myspacewhore.co.uk but soon after I bought them, Facebook took over as the new number one place to be. Goodbye glitter graphics, hello news feed. I was left with two-hundred pound’s worth of ‘I <3 MySpace’ t-shirts that didn’t sell until I decided to hit a rock-festival in the summer and sell them to kids who hadn’t heard about Facebook. I knew I was going to be ridiculed and spat on selling the tees so I wore an afro and some shades, not for comedy but to hide my face. I made £90 and failed to get a ticket, so I got drunk and crashed the festival. During the festival, I saw one person wearing my t-shirt, he bought it because it looked stupid and it did. ‘Sit on my Facebook’ tees were just everywhere, it dominated MySpace.
After graduating in Film Production with a 2.1 BSc n 2007, I left with a broad knowledge in multi-media and landed my first job as the creative director of a love, sex and relationships exhibition. It was great, I was 20 years old, in central London, sitting at an office with a different ‘toy’ on my desk everyday. I designed video commercials for billboards, graphics for tube adverts, newspapers and tourist publications. It wasn’t long into the job until I got given an assignment to work out MLM software and free auto-prospecting tools to sell products stocked in our boutique. This was my first taste of multi-line marketing, referral programs and affiliate marketing, It took a while to grasp the $10,000 web application but it opened my eyes to the huge potential of online marketing.
In 2009, I started a number of businesses online and started taking more of an active interest in social media trends, affiliate marketers and new web applications. On my blog, I’d like to share my opinions, unique findings and predictions about what I’ve learnt with an aim to recommend, teach and inspire anyone that takes the time to read what I write. I’ll share honest and transparent information on what I do to create money online and some of the best ways to go about it.

What can I say about Max? Well after seeing a post on Twitter, which was “How To Setup Your Very Own Blog” I felt intrigued to take a closer look. I’ve been thinking for a very long time, that I wish I could start my own website, instead of going to a free hosting company where you are pretty much limited in what you can do.
I wanted more control, but didn’t know where to start, who to look at for hosting, domains etc, let alone how to start building a professional looking blog.
I contacted Max, and we built an instant friendship, after a few hours of chat, I asked Max if he would help me create my first blog.
Within a couple of hours, I had my own domain, a hosting company and the start of a brand new blog. All I had to do was decide on what I should write!
I’ve only had my blog a few days, and already people have been making encouraging comments about it, and with some useful free tools, I have been able to see how many hits I’ve been getting. Now it’s not going to be anything like Facebook, MySpace or Twitter…at least for now, but each and every day, the visits are increasing. This not only encourages me even more, but also makes me realise how true to word Max is.
I can’t thanks Max enough to help me with what he has helped me to achieve, and I hope this is the start of a good friendship.
If you’d like to see what he has helped me achieve in such a short time, and with very little technical input from me, please take a look at http://kiansharpe.com I would be appreciative if you could leave any feedback (Good OR bad) after all, there’s nothing better than taking constructive criticism and learning from it.
I know I’ve said it a thousand times already but another time won’t hurt. So…….
Thank you Max!
Kian: Thank-you so much for taking the time to right that comment/testimonial, it was very touching. I wish you all the best with your blog and that it flourishes with great content! Also congratulations on making your first £££’s using adsense!
